Board of Directors 2007-2008

Mr. Rafiud Deen Ahmad is a lawyer by profession. He is advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan and senior consultant in a law firm Orr, Dignam & Company. He has been on the Boards of PTCL and PMTL. He has also served as member ICC Court of Arbitration from 1987-1990. Presently he is director on the Boards of KSB Pumps, Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund and Sigma Motors. He is also Member of the Managing Committee of the Islamabad Club since 2000. Mr. Rafiud Deen Ahmad holds degrees of M.A. and Barrister-at-Law.

Mr. Aftab Ahmad Ch. has been the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Islamabad Stock Exchange since 2002. He is a graduate of Nicholls State University, LA, USA with an MBA degree. Mr. Aftab is also the member on the Boards of National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited, National Commodity Exchange Limited and JCR-VIS Credit Rating Company of Pakistan. Mr. Aftab also holds the postion of Secretary General of South Asian Federation of Exchanges (SAFE).

Syed Nooh Adnan is the Chief Executive of M/S Stock Vision (Pvt) Limited. He has been on the Board of Director of the Exchange in the past as well. He has extensive experience of the Stock Market.

Mr. Zahid Latif Khan is an elected Member of the ISE’s Board. He has also been a Director of ISE during 2005. He is the chief executive of Zahid Latif Khan Securities (Pvt) Limited, corporate member of the ISE. He possesses a vast experience in the field of banking and finance.

Mr. Rafaquat Ali Ch is member Director of the Exchange. He is also director of Elite Stock Services (Pvt) Limited a corporate Member of the ISE. Mr. Rafaquat Ali Ch has extensive Stock Market experience.

Sheikh Muhammad Shabbir is the elected director on the Board. He is the CEO of Fair Deal Securities (Pvt) Limited. He has also been director of the Exchange as well. He is one of the founder member of the Exchange.

Sheikh Riaz Ahmad is the elected director of the Exchange. He is the CEO of Riaz Ahmad Securities (Pvt) Ltd. He also runs Foreign Exchange business.

Mr. Aslam Khaliq is the SECP’s nominee on the Board of ISE. He is currently serving Pakistan Tobacco Company as Chairman of the Board. He has vast experience of over 30 years of Corporate and Regulatory Environment. He is also Director of the Board of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan (IPO-Pakistan), Jahangir Siddiqui Capital Markets Limited and Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission of Bio Sciences (Pvt) Limited.

Mr. Tariq Khamisani is the SECP’s nominee on the Board of ISE. He is veteran of the oil and gas industry with over 28 years of experience.  Currently, he is directly responsible for all British Petroleum’s interests in Pakistan. He is prominent leader in Pakistan’s oil and gas sector, holding a number of executive positions on key industry forums. He is a member of the executive committee of Pakistan Petroleum Exploration and Production Companies Association (PPEPCA) and is also Chairman of the Pakistan Association for Petroleum Geoscientists (PAPG). He is serving on the Board of Petroleum Institute of Pakistan (PIP) as well and a member of Pakistan’s Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).

Mr. Zouhair Abdul Khaliq is the SECP’s nominee on the Board of ISE. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant from United Kingdom. He holds 22 years of Board level and Senior Management experience primarily in the telecom and technology field. He has been serving as President and CEO of Moblilink since June 2003. He has earlier served in senior management positions at Mobilink, Millicom, ICI Pakistan and Price Waterhouse.
