Investors are the backbone of the stock market. The prime function of the Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE) is to safeguard the interest of the investing public. The ISE is fully aware of the importance of investors’ education and believes that by educating the public about stock market investments, further prosperity can be brought in the society. The object of the investor education is to enable a person with little or absolutely no knowledge of stock exchange to efficiently trade securities and ultimately assist in developing a profitable portfolio.

The ISE has taken the following initiatives towards the investors’ education.

n	Revamping of website by adding further informative material on the stock market has been launched.
n	Arrangement of presentations/briefings to the general public about the working and functioning of the stock markets.
n	Special sessions of presentations/briefings to the educational institutions on the nature of stock markets.
n	Opening of Investors Information Centre for dissemination of information to the general public.
n	Arranging seminars with speakers of great profile in the corporate.
n	Publishing the research papers about the capital market.
n	Exchange’s Officials’ visit to different institutions for delivering lectures and briefings on stock investments.
n	Facilitating regular internships to business graduates.
n	Participations in different events on every level for the promotion of the stock investments.
n	Availability of books and booklets on the shares investments/trading.
